Thank you for participating in our capital campaign, “The Kingdom Journey: Building for the Generations!” Your commitment was one of 130 pledges that resulted in a promising $2.2 million. The cost estimate for the plan was $5.7 million and proposed as a design to address our need for more lobby space, new classrooms for Adult Sunday School, adequate bathrooms, and space to address Sunday Worship service needs.
After assessing the gap between the funds pledged and the projected cost, a motion was made at Cornerstone’s Annual Meeting, held Dec. 4th, that the best way forward is to direct the Building Committee to develop a new plan that meets our needs at a more cost effective price point. That motion was unanimously approved. Beginning in January, our Building Committee will review our future needs and reconceptualize a revised plan. Our goal is to have an updated design ready to review by the fall of 2026. We ask that you continue to pray that the outcome will meet our needs in a financially responsible way as directed by the Holy Spirit.
