Inspired by Caleb—who at 85 years old boldly declared, "Give me this mountain" (Joshua 14:12)—Mountain Takers is a vibrant community for retirees and adults 55+ who believe God’s calling has no expiration date. Far more than a traditional senior fellowship or quiet study, Mountain Takers embraces Cornerstone’s Up, In, and Out rhythm to cultivate deep spiritual growth, joyful community, and active kingdom impact. Your accumulated life experience, wisdom, and faith are powerful assets, and this season of life is an invitation not to wind down, but to step forward into meaningful adventure.

Getting involved means putting your gifts to work where they matter most. Through weekly gatherings for worship, Bible study, and prayer, Mountain Takers builds lasting friendships while actively bridging generations. Members partner monthly with middle school students from Watertown Christian School for cross-generational mentoring, venture into our community each week to lead compassionate worship services at local memory care units, and serve in diverse practical roles across the church—from prayer ministry to hospitality. Whatever your mobility, schedule, or skill level, there is a purposeful place for you to make a lasting difference. Let’s take these mountains together!
